Fall is my favorite time of year and it’s finally starting to feel like it around here! Living in Northern Arizona, we usually start seeing it in October as the leaves start to change, there is a crisp feeling in the air, but lately it’s been unseasonably warm – until this weekend! I got my first taste of fall and I am loving it. The leaves are bustling and blowing around, trees are revealing their artistic armature with intertwined branches, and the nighttime smell of fireplaces burning away – ahhh, can you feel it?
I spent the weekend shopping with friends and checking out all of the great new holiday décor items – unbelievable! My favorite store to go to for this is hobby lobby. We got a new one (our only one) here in Arizona about an hour and a half away, and it is a home décor paradise. I think we spent almost three hours just walking around and of course loading up our cart – it was quite comical how much stuff we were all trying to shove in it! It’s time to get in the holiday spirit, deck the halls, and all that stuff. Sure I know it’s too early for some, but not for me – I want to enjoy it as long as I can and let’s face it, the next two months will go by so fast.
So I think tonight I’m going to start to decorate for the holidays, pull out all my festive trinkets, and add in all my new found treasures. What about you?
