district market is here…

hey bloggers!  well no doubt there has been lots of buzz for the latest release of my district market products, heck i’m excited they are finally here too.  i wanted to share some info about district market since i received many emails about the last release and people we’re unable to find it before it was gone (but i will tell you that you can still find a few pieces from the original line here and there).  district market is a line i developed as an opportunity to create “finished products” that could be used for home decor, gifts, etc., but as crafters we also know the possibilities of altering these products too if we want…

district market is designed as a “one and done” line meaning that we bring in a certain number of each product design and when they’re gone, they’re gone.  just so you know though, we bring in plenty of inventory to begin with so this is in no way a “limited edition” line, just more of an ever changing product assortment.  this way i can continue to think of new items and new designs to keep this line unique and always adding different elements.  since the latest launch of district market is now hitting the store shelves i wanted to share with you my inspiration for each of them…

totes and clutches: probably one of the most talked about items of this release for sure and when you see them for yourself you’ll know why.  these totes and clutches are made of printed canvas outside, with a plastic liner inside to easily wipe clean making them not only cool to look at, but functional as well.  these totes are 18.5″ x 13.5″ with an inside zippered compartment as well as a complete zippered closure for the bags.   priced at $20, use them for travel, crops, craft supplies, or an everyday bag if you want – why not?  this time i also created smaller zippered clutches that match the larger totes.  measuring 9″ x 5″ and also zip completely closed.  priced at just $5, they are perfect for keeping smaller things handy like craft tools, pens & waterbrushes, embellishments, papers and ephemera, or even make-up …

notecards: if your like me, even though i craft just about everyday sometimes i need a quick card to send out.  the hinged windowed tin contains (12) 4″x6″ heavy-weight printed kraft cards, and (12) coordinating kraft envelopes, perfect to send as-is, or quickly add a stamped saying or an embellishment to customize them your way.  at $15 for the set, that’s just over a dollar a card (not to mention you have a cool tin left for something else…is it just me that thinks that way?)

burlap panels:  the natural texture of burlap is so great to create on.  i love the look of these printed panels and what i like even more is the fact that they are once again completely alterable since it’s actually wrapped over a wood base.  this surface makes them stable to paint, collage, or embellish on top of without the center collapsing.  in the first launch i designed 12×12 panels, but this time around i created a series that contains 4 individual panels sized (2) 6″x6″, (1) 4″x6″, and (1) 6″x8″ all for $20 a set – what a deal!  use them as together or alter each one individually – endless possibilities await…

(check out mario showing off his favorites – he’s crazy i tell you!…lol)
