artsy crafts…

Configuration
well hey there bloggers!  it's good to be back home…still trying to catch up on some much needed rest though.  we wrapped up our UK travels last week teaching at the artsy crafts event hosted by the infamous lin and leandra.  the event was truly top notch, well organized, and the perfect venue.  throughout the 2-days i taught 288 students in four 4 hour workshops where they created amazing configuration boxes.  the workshop was all about learning the tips and tricks for creating the large configurations box, working with tissue tape, distressing with inks, paints, and pearls, and of course dimensional assemblage embellishing.  i provided everything the students needed including a bag full of vintage treasures and of course a ranger bag of products to take home with them.  their creations were outstanding and we had such fun.  i began losing my voice half way through the event from a week long teaching schedule but managed to pull through.  with the help of my event assistants cheryl and courtney, and of course mario and alain, everything ran perfectly throughout each workshop.  my sincere thanks to my students as well for sharing in an amazing creative journey, and for all of the special treats and gifts (more about that later).  this was a big workshop to try to coordinate across the pond, but the months of planning, prepping, and kitting were definitely worth it for me and i hope you as well….t!m
