a weekend project…

happy monday bloggers!  hope you had a great weekend.  i spent mine at home which as you know for me is definitely out of the ordinary.  so i had to take advantage of it…hmmm…what to do?  i decided to repaint part of my studio – the wall i face when i'm working in here it's been painted green with yellow and purple doors – crazy huh?  it's bothered me for a long time, but no more…  mario's son joe helped out by the priming of the walls and doors white since there was so much color to cover up.  then i was up on the ladder to do my part – the faux finishing.  i basically just like to create a very distressed look to the walls (shocking i know)… so i used ralph lauren paint (burlap) mixed with some glaze and away i went.  simply using a cloth and wiping the walls with this mixture creates the perfect look i was going for – i also ended up fauxing the doors to finish it off.  i love it…  so here are some photos of the before and after to share with you.  love projects like this, and i'm happy i had a couple of days at home to get it done.  i've got some videos in the works for later this week so stay tuned…t!m
