this past week we spent a few days at sizzix headquarters in lake forest, california. we had a big agenda that included product development, video shoots, CHA booth layout, and three workshop events for the sizzix team and sizzix retailers. we were greeted by sizzix social media gurus liz and sarah who were absolutely awesome sharing our visit on sizzix social media – i appreciate all they did to make the visit such fun…
our first stop was in the warehouse to work with marty who is the talent behind all of the amazing sizzix booths. his creative skills and ability to turn ideas into reality is so cool. we talked about a few new display ideas for the CHA booth next year that i can’t wait to see come together. next we headed back into the offices to work with my partner in crime e.l. who works with me on all of the alterations products. we were going over a few final design details for the 2016 CHA launch and already started brainstorming for next year’s halloween and christmas releases (sorry no photos – top secret stuff…).
the next two days included workshops for the sizzix team and several sizzix retailers. it was inspiring for me to be able to teach the customer service, sales, marketing, creative, design and development teams from sizzix, and watch them see a finished project come together. the holiday event for sizzix retailers included three festive projects showcasing the versatility of sizzix. we also used products from ranger, idea-ology, stamper anonymous, tonic, and core’dinations to create our finished works of wonderment…
and what would a visit to sizzix be without spending time with sizzix founder LaDorna who is such an inspiration to this industry. thanks to the entire sizzix team for all you do to create such innovative products, and for making us feel so welcome – until next time…
