i'm loving this week bloggers! really how can you not with all of the cool tips and favorite techniques all of you are sharing. thank you for being a part of this fun week. seriously if you haven't been reading the comments you should – there's some good stuff in there… so another favorite thing with distress that many people simply overlook is stamping with distress. yes, stamping with distress is perfect! because of it's formulation it's also an embossable dye ink which means that even though the ink may feel dry, the resins stay wet allowing you to apply clear embossing powder over the ink and heat emboss and presto! embossing in your favorite distress color. oh and here's another tip if you stamp with clear stamps and distress ink: if you ink your stamp with permanent ink first (like archival) and LET IT DRY on the stamp, this primes the polymer and gives you a better stamped image with dye ink since the ink won't bead up anymore on the polymer (plus you can see what your stamping). happy stamping…t!m
*UPDATE: as i mentioned, i use ranger's archival ink for my permanent ink of choice on my clear stamps for this tip – i do not use any other type of permanent ink for this – i'm just sayin'….
