the thrill of the hunt…

Stuff

hey bloggers – just wanted to say a huge thank you to my students at my classes this past weekend!  it was lots of fun, creative sharing, and meeting new friends.  the workshops went great, the store was brimming with things to sell, and the energy was definitely a creative high.  normally when i visit a store i teach on saturday and sunday, however this past trip they were scheduled for friday and saturday (clearly there was a motive).  the owner of the store planned for a trip to the alameda antique market – antiques by the bay before we flew out on sunday.  this event is held the first sunday of every month – in all honesty it was the most amazing flea market i have ever been – and if you know me, i’ve got quite the addiction to shop for antiques.  of course trying to do this show in 5 hours before we had to fly out was almost impossible, but i definitely gave it a shot – it’s all about the search.  here are some things i managed to buy and fit into my suitcases (of course i bought 2 of those too so i had some extra room) – what a blast.  if you’re ever in the area, i highly suggest checking this event out.

thanks for the great comments on the technique challenge.  i decided to just do a random giveaway to those of you who posted a comment over the weekend – i’m sending a package of assorted creative goodness to the following 5 lucky winners – congrats!  {please contact me with your mailing info.} enjoy today…t!m

Good morning tim….love this technique and the tag is BEAUTIFUL. Will be adding it to my "Tim’s technique challenge" notebook along with my sample. I have done this with each of your challenges so I am working on a seconded 3 ring binder now. I print your instructions and great pictures and then add the sample I make. Using the tags are great because I can add them easily to the binder. What a resource! Anxious to get started on this one….Thanks so much.

What a fun technique…thanks for the great tutorial. I can hardly wait to try it. Enjoy CA and looking forward to seeing you at CKU Provo.

That is so cool!!! I’ve got stacks of ghost shapes I haven’t done anything with in awhile, though I love them, because I couldn’t think of anything new to do. Thank you for sharing 🙂

You’ve explained everything so perfectly Tim, thanks!

Wonderful art, wonderful ideas as always.

Will give it all a shot this am as I have a Get Well card to make…thanks for the inspiration!

🙂 Febe
