the comforts…

hey bloggers – so happy to be home…  it's the simple comforts i've missed of waking up to the sunrise beaming through the front windows illuminating the random vintage treasures adorning my house.  i've missed sitting in my studio checking emails and surfing through my favorite blogs while downing my iced espresso.

and certainly i've missed waking up in my own bed surrounded by the simple comforts of home.  it's good to be here, whatever the amount of days are here and there throughout my travel schedule, i look forward to and appreciate each and every day i get to spend home.  today i'll be unpacking and catching up on everything that needs to get done before the weekend, but of course the first things i had to unpack were these treasures i found on my trip (vintage stamp pad tins and this mini old doctors bag – heaven!).

my travels this year are going to be quite extensive.  although so far i've only posted a very small amount of events, those spaces in between will soon be scheduled with upcoming store visits, more events, and all of these things that make my job such a creative adventure.  i'm home, i'm happy, and i can't wait to create some technique videos for the blog/website using all of the new alterations, inks, and idea-ology.  they'll go live next week…in the meantime, check out this amazingly inspiring video tutorial series from the ultra-talented karen burniston – she has created a pop-up using her engineered pop-up dies and my new alterations bird cage die from sizzix – the result is pure genius…t!m
