sizzix village collection…

villagewith the holiday season in full swing i wanted to share some ideas featuring my new favorite dies from sizzix – the village collection.  this series of dies is the first of many (more to come in 2016) that allow you to design and create you’re own custom village.  the following videos will take you through the basics of assembling the “village dwelling”, assembling the “village bell tower”, and adding the “village winter” overlay.  see for yourself just how easy they are to do – the fun has only just begun…t!m

I would like to make these using copper sheets. I can’t seem to find a tutorial. Is it even possible?

  2. Amy Gray says:

Thanks for the tip on the Index stock. It is WAY more economical than other heavy weight cardstocks. We are making this house at our next Stamp Knight with Joy on Thursday and I can’t wait!

  3. […] Sizzix designs are always exciting and when Tim Holtz released his Village Collection, it was the most waited for set […]

  4. Ok…so I finally had time to watch these. AWESOME! Wish I would have seen these before I taught my class using all three dies, because I learned a few things. First…didn’t know there was a detail hot glue gun. I hate hot glue guns because of the thick line and the strings, but this would have made my class a cinch. It was raining, and 6 different glues didn’t want to work, so hot glue would have been brilliant. A real duh moment! Next, didn’t know there was a ‘v’ in the snow for the roof…LOVE that and makes so much sense. LOVE that you used twigs too! Just fabulous knowledge for the most fabulous dies ever! Thank you!

I adore these little houses… already been commissioned by my mother to make a whole village-full to go in the window of her dollshouse museum in the Czech Republic!

  6. Hi Tim and Mario, Happy Holidays, I’m in the process of making the houses and found a couple of suggestions; if ur paper is heavy enough u don’t need the index stock, and would put the glassine windows on before putting the houses together. Having fun doing it, thanxs for ur inspirations and informative videos…definitely helped~~~
