DSC09411step 1: start by choosing your favorite decorative cardstock or papers for the holders.  i’m using my seasonal paper stash from idea-ology since it contains themed papers for holidays throughout the year – love it.

DSC09412step 2: place the mini bunny movers & shapers die into the base pillow box die (you can use any of the mini movers & shapers magnetic dies that fit into the opening).  note: if you’re not inserting a shape into the base die, be sure to use a magnetic foam in the space to keep your paper from getting stuck in the die.

DSC09413step 3: die cut using the vagabond or your die cutting machine using the following “sandwich” from the bottom up: clear cutting pad, pillow box die w/bunny, cardstock, crease pad.  note: the crease pad is important to use as your top layer INSTEAD of a clear cutting pad whenever you are using a die that has crease rule which is designed to create a score line for folding.  the crease pad is a flexible pad that allows the blade of the die to cut through the cardstock, and the crease rule to score the cardstock.  if you use a clear cutting pad as your top layer INSTEAD of the crease pad, it can cause the crease rule to cut through the cardstock.

DSC09414step 4: fold along all of the crease rule – so much easier right?  i love how the mini movers & shapers bunny creates a window.

DSC09415step 5: sand over the folded design with a sanding grip to distress the folds and edges and reveal the white core of the paper.  since i’m going for a shabby springtime look i decided not to ink anything (shocking i know…).

DSC09416step 6: cut a piece of cellophane or thin transparency to fit over the window.

DSC09417step 7: apply glossy accents to the inside of the pillow box around the edge of the shape about 1/8″ from the cut edge.

DSC09418step 8: place the cellophane over the window and hold  to dry.  note: by leaving 1/8″ space from the cut edge you don’t have to worry about excess glossy accents becoming visible.

DSC09419step 9: apply glossy accents to the side tab along the edge of the pillow box.  be sure to cover the entire tab with adhesive.

DSC09420step 10: fold the pillow box in half on the score line adhering the top layer to the tab, and hold to dry.

DSC09421step 11: on one end of the box, fold in the notched tab first (this will allow your finger to reopen this flap later).

DSC09422step 12: fold the solid tab over the notched tab to secure.

DSC09423step 13: on the other end of the box, fill with your favorite candies and fold those flaps to close.

DSC09425step 14: to embellish, tie a piece of paper string around the box – simple as that!

DSC09426step 1: place the mini bunny movers & shapers die into the base in the bag die (you can use any of the mini movers & shapers magnetic dies that fit into the opening).  note: if you’re not inserting a shape into the base die, be sure to use a magnetic foam in the space to keep your paper from getting stuck in the die.  cut following same sandwich as before using the crease pad.

DSC09427step 2: fold along all of the crease rule – so much easier right?  i love how the mini movers & shapers bunny creates a window.

DSC09428step 3: this bag has a gusset which creates a wider finished bag, fold the gusset into the bag as shown.

DSC09429step 4: apply glossy accents to the side tab along the edge of the bag.  be sure to cover the entire tab with adhesive.

DSC09430step 5: fold the bag in half on the score line adhering the top layer to the tab, and hold to dry.

DSC09431step 6: on the bottom of the bag, fold in the two small side flaps as shown.

DSC09432step 7: next fold the notched flap as shown.

DSC09433step 8: now tuck in the tabbed flap under the notched flap to secure, no adhesive needed.

DSC09434step 9: here’s what you’ve created, a small standing bag.

DSC09435step 10: fill a small cellophane or plastic bag with your favorite candies and tie closed with paper string.

DSC09436step 11: insert the clear bag into the mini paper bag – simple as that!
