hey bloggers! well we just made it home after an amazingly fun weekend at scrapfest hosted by archiver’s at the mall of american in minneapolis. this year we had quite the group to help with the event – myself, mario, joy, michelle (ms. stampers anonymous), patti (my right hand at ranger), and terri. we started our journey a day earlier this year to hit “junk bonanza” which just happened to be a few miles away from the event (the junk gods were looking out for us). let me tell you, it was simply over the top junk goodness everywhere – seriously i couldn’t contain myself. we spent a few hours just junking and shopping like crazy, it was such fun. i was beyond inspired by the amazingly decorated booths there filled to the brim with treasured junk. i did manage to gather as many things as i could possible fit in the van with us and hopefully get it back on the plane with us (which by the way we did manage to do – wow!)…
then early friday morning it was back to work and let me tell you, it’s a ton of work to pull off teaching 300 students in the middle of the mall of america. patti and her team at ranger did an incredible job prepping all of the class kits for this event, they were perfect! over the course of scrapfest weekend the schedule was pretty intense each day: up at 7:00am, get to the mall to set up by 8:00am, classes from 9:00am – 1:00pm (2 classes back to back), then a quick bite to eat, demo from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in front of the archiver’s store, a book signing one of the days from 4:00pm – 5:00pm, and then dinner – whew! everything went great and i just want to thank my team of friends for helping me out over the weekend and the staff at archiver’s. i couldn’t have done it without you guys. thanks also to all of the students who came to scrapfest to celebrate! i hope you all enjoyed this event as much as we did…t!m
