eclectic elements spring quilt market 2013…

fullboothhey bloggers… we’re back from spring quilt market 2013 that was held in portland where i got to debut my new line of fabrics with coats.  i have to say this was such an amazing experience into such uncharted territory for me, but i loved every single moment of it.  the fabrics were a success and so many people stopped by to introduce themselves, compliment the line and it’s “eclectic” assortment of design and style.  it was just so cool to get my first glimpse into the world of textile and quilts and i certainly came back with new inspiration to incorporate my new fabrics into my work now.  a huge thank you to my team paula and mario for working with me to get everything ready for market – it looked amazing…

one of the most talked about pieces in this booth was the quilt that hung on the back wall designed by scott hansen who i got to meet.  his unique approach to creating this quilt was so refreshing to many people who stopped by to see it – i loved it…

i also got to meet designer tula pink who i instantly adored. she is so amazing, colorful, and down to earth sweet (thanks tula for being so genuine to me).  i also did a video segment for with host jodie davis who was so nice as well, we had lots to chat about…

my friend richele christensen made this cool quilt for the booth which i loved.  the mix of all of the fabrics in this patchwork was so cool, and so eclectic – thanks for sharing in the fun richele…

i can’t wait until my eclectic elements fabric get in the hands of many of you, and i start seeing a whole new world of creative ideas and inspiration.  i never thought i would see my designs on fabric so this experience is truly beyond amazing.  here’s more project inspiration from the booth including this awesome vintage chair covered in one of my new fabrics, giant numbered pillows, layered totes and aprons, and more – wow!  enjoy…t!m

I am so enjoying all your pictures and projects. Just would like to know where we could purchase the large picture of picture frames? I have the perfect place for this. Thanks for your inspiration

As a brand new quilter but long time paper crafter, I was excited to see your designs coming to the fabric world. I noticed both the apron and the photo frame on the back wall. Love that kind of thinking outside of the box for fabrics. Can’t wait to buy!

Hi! I just have to tell you that I am in LOVE with this entire new line of your fabrics. I am a new sewer (just starting at age 41 about 6 months ago). I have degenerative disk disease which limits my activity. I can sit at the sewing machine for short periods, but it’s given me a newly found peace because I’m actually doing something besides watch television. I’ve never been the “creative/crafty type of person, so this is a whole new world that has been opened up for me. I’m taking loads of courses at my local sewing shop. This is the first time that I’ve actually felt what people keep telling me would happen. “A print will speak to you and you’ll have to have it.” Yours did that for me! I love each of your 24 prints, and am in complete awe of your quilt designed by Scott Hansen. Even though I’m on permanent disability (including the fixed income), I managed to save enough to buy just one yard of each print. The problem is that I love it so much that I can’t seem to cut into it! Sigh. I want this decadent splurge to have an equally amazing project to go along with it. I’m not experienced enough to design my own quilt and have not seen anything else worthy of these fabrics. I do not have the funds required to purchase the total yardage required for your “Going My Way” quilt. I’m worried that this fantastic fabric will sit in its box, untouched. What a shame! If you have any designs that you’d be willing to share with me, I’d be so honored and appreciative. Thank you for this new line. It’s both inspiring and incredibly beautiful. I hope to be able to meet you someday. Maybe your creativity will rub off on me. Happy holidays and take care!

OK, I’ve been slow on the draw since I was out of town last week, so just now viewed your photos of Portland Quilt Market. All I can say is: Awesome!!!!! You have reached into my personal loves: fabric for quilting and your products for card/mixed media work. Glad you are meeting and hopefully collaborating with great fabric/quilt stars!! It’s a whole other world that has opened for you – thank you for sharing! Love you and Mario, of course.

Hey Tim, I love the new fabrics! And the quilt is great! How long before we can find your fat squares or your rolls of fabric, and where will we find them? I have also been trying to find the list of new distress ink pad colors, but have exhausted my seach skills. Love all of your products, but I live in 29 Palms and there are no craft stores execpt Joanns, and Michaels that are only 93 minutes away! Would appreciate a reply. Thanks so much.

SO, I really must have some! Can’t wait for Eclectic Elements to be available locally. I love the line!
