THE WINNER OF YESTERDAY’S FULL SET OF DISTRESS INKS:
{HEATHER}

Oh, I so love the distress inks! I haven’t come across a color I don’t like yet.

Dabbers_2 today’s product: Adirondack Paint Dabbers
okay so i have to say i haven’t always loved using paint – until adirondack paint dabbers came along.  and why?  because honestly these things are simplistically perfect!  these paints are available in 36 coordinating adirondack colors, black, white, and 4 metallics – all of which i have, use, and love.  there are so many features these have that i just have to start sharing them – get ready for a new addiction…
Dabberchart -First things first – these are DABBER paints and NOT HAMMER paints so using them properly will save you a lot of time and frustration. because there is a valve in the cap of the dabber, you need to be sure to press it down so the paint has a chance to flow through the cap – remember it’s a dabber.
-Always store your dabbers upside down.  After all, it’s paint and it’s thicker than ink so be sure to keep them stored upside down.
-To prime your dabbers first: shake the paint, remove the clear cap, and press the dabber ALL the way down on to your craft sheet.  While holding it down, squeeze the sides of the dabber until you see paint flow (this usually takes about 5-10 seconds).
-Dabbers are in convenient dabber bottles meaning you simply press down on the dabber on your surface to dispense the paint – no brushes needed!
-Because you can paint with a variety of colors and blend right from the dabber top – these bottles only dispense paint and never absorb it so you won’t contaminate your colors.
-Dabbers work on a variety of surfaces including paper, chipboard, grungeboard, fabric, metal, plastic, glass, and more…
-These paints are waterproof and washable on fabrics – so simple and so vibrant.
-The coordinating palette of colors allow you to combine lights, bright, and earthtones on your artwork.
-Dabbers are also an embossable paint – yep, just stamp with the paint and emboss with clear embossing powder..
-Paint the back of transparencies and apply them directly to cardstock (the paint works as a flexible adhesive – cool huh?)
-Dabber paints also work as a resist against Distress Inks, so you can apply the paint to a surface, let it dry, and ink over the top with Distress – try it…
-If the dabber paint is ever too thick for your desired application, simply unscrew the cap and add water to the paint.  you can easily create a wash of color simply by watering down your paint dabber.
-Check out Ranger’s website for more tips, techniques, and projects ideas using the Adirondack Paint Dabbers
