new 2014 products – sizzix alterations…

there’s no doubt from reading your comments this week that many of you are already getting into the spirit and planning your holiday craft projects.  well today’s  reveal of my new seasonal launch with sizzix alterations will definitely put you over the edge.  i’m so happy with the variety of products in this launch including the introduction of thinlits to the alterations line.  with a little mix of fall, halloween, winter, and christmas there are lots of designs that coordinate perfectly with products from past seasons.  of course i have so many ideas for these new designs, but since there are lots of new products to show you, i’ll hold off from sharing the ideas in this post.  not to worry, there will be plenty of project tutorials once everything is shipping.  speaking of shipping, note there will be two shipping release dates for these products so i’ll show them accordingly – let’s get started…

this first release for fall and halloween will be shipping in august (that’s next month i can hardly wait).  you already know how much i love the versatility of steel rule dies and all they can cut including fabric, felt, foam, wood veneer, craft metals, cardboard, chipboard, grungeboard, layers of cardstock, and other mediums so i’ve designed several of them.  the new pumpkin parts, candlelight, and hanging lantern are great designs on their own, or when adorned with the autumn gatherings or festive greenery decorative strip dies from the previous launch…

the popularity of the layered butterfly, dragonfly, and bee bigz dies from earlier this year that come with a coordinating texture fade inspired this new layered leaf.  this organic design not only has great character and style, but also comes with the coordinating texture fade to create a realistic dimensional leaf perfect for your autumn projects…

the new eye chart & formulas texture fade set is ideal for halloween backgrounds or for the steampunk lover.  i can’t even begin to tell you how happy i am that shadow press has been such a huge success and a favorite of card makers and scrapbooks alike.  this new halloween set has all the words you need to create a letterpress look on your cards, tags, and even over photographs this halloween…

i’m excited to announce that we are introducing thinlits to the alterations line.  i know sizzix has been creating thinlits in their own line, as well as many other designer lines, but i’ve honestly not been inspired to design any…well until now that is!  you see, although thinlits are generally used for papers and cardstock, their benefit is you can have more detail in the design as well as more pieces in a set for a great price.  you’ll see just what i mean with the other thinlits in this release, but i’ll start off with the new alphanumeric set that includes 125 dies (yes one hundred twenty five individual dies) a mix of 3/4″ letters, numbers, and punctuation for $19.99 crazy right?  well i wanted to have multiple letters, etc. so they can be used to create whatever you want to say in a single pass through your die cut machine.  although you can certainly use the actual cut out pieces of these dies, these were designed to create “knock-out” words on your projects – see the example below…

next up – this second release will be shipping in september and is filled with festive designs in your favorite bigz, mini movers & shapers, thinlits, texture fades, shadowpress and stamp w/framelit sets.  ’tis the season to be creative so here we go starting with this stunning angelic, festive gent, stacked snowflakes, and another bigz/texture combo with the layered snowflake (love the detail in this one)…

i love the many different styles of holiday decor, from traditional to vintage and everything in between.  these new retro inspired designs are classic designs like these fun retro ornaments including mix and match shapes to create numerous styles.  the retro packages are another fun design that can be used at christmastime and throughout the year for birthday celebrations and more.  their detailed bows and ribbons can be layered in various colors to create your own decorative theme.  both the retro ornaments and packages are also available in coordinating mini movers & shapers.  there is also a new on the edge die for the holidays so get ready to deck the halls (well your projects anyways) with the new boughs of holly…

these next designs are some of my faves that include sleigh ride which is a stylish design sized perfectly to be filled with the retro package dies.  of course a sleigh needs a reindeer and this prancing deer is also sized to scale so pair it up or use it’s stunning pose all alone on a project.  let’s not forget the magic of believing with this joyful st. nick.  it’s hard to imagine this is a bigz die with all of those tiny layered pieces that you can cut out of things like felt for a fuzzy fellow…

now if you’re already a fan of the original tattered pinecone die that creates dimensional pinecones and rustic roses, this new jumbo tattered pinecone creates even bigger ones.   with a 2″ finished size pinecone or rose, this die is the perfect companion for your holiday home decor projects…

as i mentioned, thinlits allow more intricate and detailed designs so of course i had to put that to the test with the new holiday greens that cut large juniper, holly, and pine shapes with precision.  the new paper snowflakes are reminiscent of those hand-cut holiday shapes from schooldays, oh the memories.  if you’re looking for the perfect gift tag assortment, the new labels has all you need – from labels, to pinked edge seals, and so much more…

these new holiday word thinlits will have you creating cards and other holiday themed projects like a pro.  available in both block and script, each set features the same assortment of words in two unique font styles.  the block font is designed as a “knock-out” while the script has swirly detail.  use them individually or combine for unlimited creative possibilities – see the example below…

if you’re wanting to create hand-stamped cards this season the new stamp & framelit sets are just what you need.  combining cling mounted rubber stamps from stampers anonymous and coordinating framelit dies from sizzix, it’s the perfect match.  the new merry christmas and seasons greetings sets are designed to create wonderful layered projects with ease…

of course i love these new texture fades this season including: beaded garland & snowflakes, greetings & greens, snowfall & falling trees, and holiday knits.  this wonderful variety of pattern and texture are sure to add the perfect touch to your festive creations…

    Hi Tim

Great new products! I love, love the Holiday Words: Script and Block.

I am only wondering why the products are not released earlier? I know it sounds crazy, but I usually start end of August with Christmas cards and by End of October I am mostly done with it, since I have to write and post a lot to overseas.

By the time I can get the dies here in Australia, it’s probably end of October! What a shame!

Just wanted to mention it. Would be fantastic, if Christmas products could come out earlier.

  3. Oh my goodness! The alphanumeric and Holiday Greens are must have dies! All the new dies are perfect for the upcoming Holiday Season!

Wow! Can’t wait to get a hold of these dies and embossing folders! Mahalo nui loa for the Alphanumeric set, Hawaiian names and words are going to be so easy now since there’s only 12 letters in their alphabet, and the words are mostly made up of vowels! Love everything that has words! And really love all of the snowflakes and the new pinecone! It’s like Christmas in July with this sneak peek! I guess I better be GOOD so Santa brings me some!
