mini mason jar gift ideas…

masonjarsmaking creative little gifts to give to friends and loved ones this holiday is a special part of the season.  i love these mini mason jars and designed them for so many creative uses.  measuring only 4″ tall and 2 1/4″ wide with a brushed silver lid, and charming “vintage quality” dimensional star embossed on the glass, these little guys are also FOOD SAFE!  that means you can fill them up with your favorite holiday edibles to make gifts that are as unique as they are personal.  here are just a few quick and simple ideas to spark a little christmas creativity…

jar1
diy hot chocolate: fill the mini mason jar with hot cocoa mix, mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, and crushed candy canes.  tie a piece of striped ribbon around the jar and embellish with a silverware adornment spoon, paper punched greenery and a bell…

jar2
coffee lover: fill the mini mason jar with coffee beans then cover the lid with a cut piece of burlap.  tie some colored jute string around the jar to secure the burlap, punch a hole in the corner of a gift card, and tie it on with a silverware adornment spoon ( you can send this one to me – kidding)…

jar3
bbq spices: fill the mini mason jar with your favorite custom mix of spices for rubs, dips, dressings, and more.  paint the outside of the lid with distress paint, let it dry about 90% of the way then wipe with a dry paper towel to distress.  print your recipe on kraft paper, die cut with a small tag die, tie on with a piece of jute, and embellish with the silverware adornment knife and fork…

the possibilities are endless, the supplies are basic, and whether you’re filling it with candies, baked goods, spices, or simply fun trinkets and a gift card, they are cute, festive, and fun…t!m
