how do you distress?…

Distressink
that is the question bloggers – how do YOU distress?  if you're like me creating anything without adding a little distress ink here or there would be practically impossible.  whether it's stamping, blending, spritzing, or simply a swipe of the pad, adding distress ink to my projects is inevitable.  of course when it comes to the colors of distress ink choosing a favorite seems to be yet another impossibility.  with a palette of 36 vintage hues the nostalgic colors of distress ink are unlike any other ink out there.  some days i reach for old paper, others it's broken china with a bit of spiced marmalade, but lately it's pumice stone.  you see my favorite shade of these timeless tones of distress ink is as random as my creative thoughts – you just never know.  what about you though, do you have a favorite color?  what's your favorite way of distressing?  what kind of project do you like to create with distress ink?  …so what's with all the questions?  what gives?  well….i am!

that's right bloggers as luck would have it while cleaning up the warehouse recently, this was discovered…
Distresstin
remember these cool distress ink pad storage tins?  of course due to increased manufacturing costs these highly popular storage tins are no more – they were discontinued back in january.  these distress storage tins which held the original palette of 24 colors have become harder and harder to find and now with the addition of the 12 new colors of distress they are even in more demand.  well if you've searched for these you'll agree with me when i say they are practically impossible to find.  that is until today because not only did we find one tin…we found 12 of these beauties, and quite possibly one could be yours!

i've decided to do a little contest on the blog this week called "how do you distress?"…
here's how it works (there are 2 ways you can win!):

#1 CREATE A PROJECT
-create a project (any kind of project, it doesn't have to be over the top) just use distress ink
-take a photo of that project and email it to me at [email protected] (limit to one photo ONLY so take your best shot)
-in your email tell me about what techniques you used on your project with distress inks
-the deadline for the project contest is friday may 28th by
5:00pm(PST).  remember to be entered to win this way, you must email
ONE photo only, along with a brief description of your technique.  you have just this week to create something fun, creative, and
distressed…

#2 POST A COMMENT
-simply post a comment on the blog sharing your favorite thing about distress inks (color, technique, etc.)
-one winner will be chosen each day this week at random so be sure to post your comment everyday this week for more chances to win…

ALL 12 winners will be announced on saturday may 29th, 2010 and this contest can be entered by everyone world wide!  so take some time to share your favorite thing about distress by either posting a comment on the blog and/or getting a little inky this week.  most of all remember to have fun and i'll be sharing my favorite things about distress all week too, i can't wait…t!m
