hello from buffalo stamps & stuff…

hey bloggers!  i know it's been a while but when i say i've been on the go, i've been on the go!  since i returned from texas on monday,  i've been locked up in my studio for 3 days designing my 10 new stamp sets,  finishing up on all of my new idea-ology stuff, a few last minute details of my new alterations things, and finalizing my new ranger products – all for cha summer coming up next month!  then on thursday we caught a red eye flight leaving phoenix, az. at 11:00pm connecting through charlotte with a 3 hour layover, and then on to buffalo, ny landing around 11:00am (all is all about 10 hours of travel time)… but of course we hit the ground running and got picked up and the airport by sharon our friend and the owner of buffalo stamps & stuff, and our friend kate.  then we headed straight to the store to get things ready for the big weekend!  her store was amazing (more on that in my recap post next week) but we had lots of work to do to change an empty store space into our workshop room for the next 2 days.  i am teaching 4 workshops with 90 students is each for a total of 360 kits including all supplies, tools, inks, you name it.  it took us several hours with the help of many people to transform this space into a teaching mecca complete with powerpoint screen, projector, microphone, and everything a student will need for all of the classes without bringing a thing.  they had the outside of the class space adorned with cool vinyl window letters saying "the journey begins here" – and that it does…

after set-up it was a nice dinner with their family and then with passports in hand we headed to the canadian side of niagara falls.  we arrived as the sun already started to set, but the nighttime lights and goings on were even more spactacular – what an incredible sight!  we walked along the falls, got pretty wet from all of the mist, and were treated to a surprise fireworks show right inside the falls – incredible!  we then headed back across the border to our hotel to get checked in and a quick nights rest before returning back to the store this morning to finish last minute set up details to get ready for today's workshops…
