greetings from the UK…

travelwe’re sitting here at the heathrow airport in london getting ready to board our flight back home to the US and wanted to check in with all of you.  we arrived safely in london on friday after a few flight delays then immediately made our way to the NEC in birmingham to set up for a day of teaching (no rest for the weary).  we were met by alain and steve from ranger and jayne and jennifer from notions marketing who pitched in to help unpack boxes, prep kits, and make sure everything was ready for the next morning…

setup workshops

saturday was a busy day of back to back workshops for 120 retailers & educators ready to “distress a little different” using the new distress crayons and collage medium.  we had a great time and i want to send out a huge thank to you everyone who attended the workshops…

sunday and monday were busy as well with 6 hours of demos in the personal impression and notions marketing booths at the stitches trade show.  it was great to meet so many retailers and designers who took the time to stop by the demos to check out all of the latest releases from ranger.  we’re headed off to the gate and looking forward to a safe and relaxing journey home – hope to be back across the pond again next year…t!m

  8. Wow, what a whirlwind of a trip! Hope you and Mario will be able to take a break when you get home, you both deserve a well earned rest!

  9. I love to talk to people in Europe who are crafters. I am always telling them that they have so many new and interesting ideas and they are always telling me that the people in the states are so creative. It is just fun to talk to all crafters where ever you go or live. You find out what they are doing and watch the creative minds at work.

  10. I hope you have a safe trip back home, and next time think about visiting the lovely town of Wilmington, NC, just minutes from some of the prettiest beaches on the eastern shore of USA!!!Now get some rest!

It was wonderful to hear you speaking and being so inspiring when demoing your products. I had a customer come to the shop yesterday who said that you can’t stamp with clear stamps and Distress Inks very well and I told her about your archival ink tip and she said she was going to try it when she got home. I also very much appreciate the photo even though I was a blabbering mess! Hope to see you next year in the UK!

I was so jealous, I would love for you to come over to do some general crafter’s workshops in the UK but I know how hectic your schedule is. Perhaps one day ;0) Have a safe trip home and enjoy some rest when you get there x

  39. Linda talley says:

Loved what you taught in your class. Are you teaching it anywhere in the US? Looks like you are have a jolly good time. Be safe!

  40. Glad to hear all went well! excited to be inspired of all the new demos and Ideas for cards, ect. take a little time for yourselves.

  41. It would be wonderful if you could come back to the UK for a few weeks, and do the sort of workshops for everyday crafters we see you do in the USA. I do understand that you need to keep retailers/demos up to par, but if it wasn’t for us ordinary crafters purchasing all the products, they’d have no-one to demo to! Also, if you do ever do this, can we get a reasonable amount of warning? Many of us have day jobs, and that requires us giving notice to book holiday time. Would be much appreciated by many of your fans.

  42. Anne R says:
