colors everywhere…

boards3hey everyone, just an update from the studio which have been quite the chaos of color since christmas.  we are well underway creating color swatch boards for the ranger booth.  this is a task we do every year to showcase the latest products and color palettes in the ranger booth at cha.  as you can imagine there is a great deal of time and work involved in making these boards including:
– choosing the surface (type or cardstock, chipboard, grungeboard)
– prepping the surface (adhering cardstock to chipboard and die-cutting it)
– coloring the surface (making a color swatch for each color in a product palette)
– signage and labels (printing and cutting color names for each color swatch)
– assembly (adhering each color swatch, signage, and color label to a board)

boards1 boards2these boards are a great way to see the true color of a product applied to the ideal surface along with project samples shown for inspiration.  it’s always lots of work for us, luckily i have the help of mario and my sister michelle who have been working non-stop right along with me (definitely a team effort).  so far we’ve been working on them for 3 days and i imagine we still have a few more days until they are finished and ready to ship off to the show.  well i better get back to work since we are trying to get this task finished by the new year – wish us luck…t!m
