CHA2016 show recap: sizzix & stampers anonymous…

1today’s final show recap highlights the sizzix and stampers anonymous booths.  let’s start off with the amazing sizzix booth and a huge shout out to the talented marty (sizzix in-house design guy) for his craftsmanship in creating and building the entire sizzix booth.  his ideas and execution of ideas is truly something that i am in awe of each and every show.  every detail from the tattered barn wood walls and crafted shadowboxes to the rustic light fixtures has marty’s signature touch of perfection – thanks again marty…

of course what also makes the alterations area of the sizzix booth amazing is the talents of my friend and project manager richele christensen who demoed in the booth throughout the show.  richele’s creativity, product know-how, and witty personality makes seeing and learning about all of the new sizzix releases a must-do for the show attendees.  richele worked with the new vagabond 2 machine and all of the new dies and texture fades on a variety of surfaces.  thanks again to richele for sharing your inspiration, education, and making the launch such a success…

i stopped by the booth an hour each day to demo and do my best to make a mess of her demo area (not really)…

i also want to give a shout out to sarah from sizzix, who really made me feel like i had my own paparazzi at the show.  we had lots of laughs and silly fun, but she really did an awesome job capturing and sharing all of the exciting show action for sizzix – click here to visit the sizzix blog…

it’s no surprise the projects in the booth were over the top amazing.  the team of talented designers really created dimensional works of art with all of the new dies and folders.  there were so many different project types from scrapbook pages to cards, and in so many different creative styles…

the new stamp & stencil releases were really an eclectic mix with a bit of steampunk, victorian, backgrounds, phrases, and the addition of the new mini crazy birds & things and the talk of them all – crazy cats…

thanks again to the talented kristina werner for her mad drawing skills in creating these crazy cats.  as you can see from these cards, they work perfect with the original crazy things and crazy talk stamps (left), as well as the new mini bird crazy & things (right).  *note: a new die set for the crazy cats is also being released later next month from sizzix …

the new mini stencils were also a hit at the show.  i love the scale of these new sized stencils (if you missed my previous sneak peek blog post announcing them and showing the comparison click here).  this great display board richele made shows the layering of the three minis that come in each set – lots of creative possibilities…
