it’s been a fun week sharing all of the goings on from the CHA2015 show. today i’m sharing highlights from the sizzix and stampers anonymous booths. as you know a great deal of time and creativity goes into getting ready for a show like this. the sizzix booth was filled to the brim with inspiration and one of the largest releases i’ve done with them including dies, shadowpress station, and the launch of a new punch line. before i take you through the booth i want to share one of the best moments of the show for me which was having the opportunity to spend time with Ellison/Sizzix founder LaDorna Eichenberg at the show…
the first time i met LaDorna we instantly bonded over our love of creativity. being a pioneer in the industry, LaDorna and her late husband Robert developed the first hand operated shape cutting system back in 1977 and were recently honored with the CHA Industry Achievement Award (click here for the press release). at 92 LaDorna is still passionate about creativity – her granddaughter Kristin Highberg (Sizzix CEO), continues that vision and legacy. it was a thrill to have the chance to personally thank LaDorna for the wonderful innovations she inspired by following an idea that forever changed the craft industry we know today…
the sizzix booth looked amazing with it’s rustic walls, and unique shelving filled with vintage treasures that expressed the styling of the sizzix alterations brand. this area also served as the backdrop for the ongoing demos throughout the show done by my talented project manager richele christensen. i was also able to demo in the sizzix booth an hour each day so check out all of the videos below – all 14 of them (thanks to our friends at scraptime.ca)…

the project areas of the booth was simply inspiration overload thanks once again to the team of talented designers who shared their creativity. this section was displayed in four different themed sections for each month’s releases and bursting with colorful samples and ideas. for more project close-ups check out paula cheney’s blog oneluckyday…
on to the stampers anonymous booth that continues the theme of eclectic goodness. the vintage drafting table displayed some of the original blueprint sketches from mario III which are used to design the blueprint stamp series…
i love the versatility of designs in this release and the talented designers who created these cards blew me away with their ideas too. whether your style is vintage, sketchbook, journaling, watercolor, or collage – there is definitely a little something for everyone…
mr. stampers anonymous himself (owner ted), was nothing but smiles in the booth and loved showing off the new stamps and stencils – can you blame him? he even loaded us up with some to giveaway here on the blog! for your chance to win, post a comment and let us know your favorite new stamp set and stencil (you just might win them) winners will be announced sunday 1/25 at 12:00noon MST. i hope you enjoyed this week of CHA2015 highlights – here’s to a new year of products, projects, and most importantly creative inspiration…t!m
