happy friday bloggers! this week is flying by and i still have lots of things to do before leaving for cha. i appreciate you continuing to share the excitement of the new release products and i agree that the new alterations products are some of the best yet which is why i can’t wait until you see the rest of the launch…
this next release is shipping in march and has some cool designs starting with a funky decorative strip die called tapered fringe. it basically cuts a row of thin “fringe” with a tapered edge that can be attached to a project as an accent border, or rolled up to create a pom-pom style flower, or even a clump of grass (see i told you it was funky, in a good way of course…).
the new pediments die is so amazing. not only does it cut 3 different styles of tops, but each one has detailed crease rule in it. use it on top of tags, photos, or even configuration inserts for a look that will give an architectural element…
this next movers & shapers base die is the second in the series of versatile base dies i mentioned yesterday. great for backgrounds or pages of a mini book, this large postage stamp die has the crease rule edging as well…
of course what better way to increase the usefulness of the postage base die then to have a set of movers & shapers rectangle dies. this will allow you to create a postage stamp frame in various sizes, or cut openings through many other movers & shapers base dies you might have…
well i couldn’t resist doing a tiny version of the postage stamp and why not add a bottlecap too. this set of mini movers & shapers once again combines a detailed cut blade with a decorative crease rule – these are so much fun…
check out these new texture fades which include more great designs including a ruler and bottlecap set (and wouldn’t you know, the mini bottlecap die cut works great with this folder). then we have the travel words and borders set that compliment just about every type of journey you choose to take…
finally this third release is shipping in april (heck with so many designs we had to spread them out). first is a new steel rule alphabet die, and for fans of the previous “word play” die, you are going to love the new “block talk”. with it’s skinny styling and 1 1/2″ tall font, you can now fit entire words on cards, and even titles on layouts – it’s so functional…
with the french industrial theme for idea-ology i just couldn’t resist doing a slightly distressed eiffel tower and fleur de lis die…
now how about this set of texture fades that work together allowing you to create embossed detail on the cut eiffel tower and fleur de lis pieces? not only that, but this set also has an amazing french script design inspired by my stamp of the same design (sorry those won’t work together)…
this next texture fade is a tribute to my friends across the pond in the uk. the cool distressed union jack and the royal collage are great embossing designs with a style all their own. just wait until you see the ideas for this one…
next in the series of basic movers & shapers base dies is this arch shape, a classic design…
of course there is a set of movers & shapers to create a frame or arch opening in various sizes too…
alright so i have one more movers & shapers base die for the series. you’ve already seen the cameo, postage, and arch, so how about this pocket watch – i love it! great for card fronts, book covers, and definitely journal pages or layouts. this pocket watch also has crease rule to give that added detail…
and you know i had to include with this set of movers & shapers circles to the launch so we can create a pocket watch frame or circular openings in any other movers & shapers base die. now we have ovals, rectangles, arches, and circles movers & shaper dies to choose from…
i had to design a mini pocket watch and clock key movers & shapers die too right?…
okay so by now you’ve seen the cover of the catalog and that awesome moustache and pointing finger right? i have to say that i’ve never been one to jump on to a trend, but this one with moustaches i just couldn’t resist. i know years from know i’ll look back and wonder what it was with using these on our projects (no doubt it will still make me smile), and the pointing finger was the perfect compliment to this mini movers & shapers set – just for the pure fun of it…
so there you have it – the latest sizzix alterations release for 2013. you know when i look back at my crafting life, it’s hard to image what i did before die cutting and embossing folders since i use them so much now. i am happy to have this opportunity to design for an amazing company like sizzix, and i’m so thankful it has been supported by all of you too. hope you have a great weekend and i’ll be back monday to share the details of my latest releases from ranger (with a little video too). see you then…t!m
