another amazing sample…

thanks for all the comments on the card from yesterday's post.  i definitely have some talented friends!  i wanted to share one of the most talked about samples at the show – this grungepaper quilt.  that's right….a quilt made from grungepaper.  my friend kim made this incredible hanging piece using grungepaper, embossed with various cuttlebug dies, and then painted with ranger paint dabbers, then inked with distress inks.  i wouldn't believe it myself if i didn't see her put it all together right before my eyes!  she did the sewing with a regular sewing machine, ironing, the works just as you would a quilt and she kept commenting how she couldn't believe how the grungepaper worked like fabric.  love that!!!  maybe i'll ask her to do a "guest tutorial" on my blog later this month when grungepaper is shipping???  so check it out and share your comments (no doubt kim will be reading them too…)…more tomorrow…t!m
